A NEW POSSIBLE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

Rust City Youth is passionate about creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for students, in 6th-12th grade. Who says church has to be boring? We're serious about our faith, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.

Everything we do, from top to bottom, is for the youth—real messages, about real risks that students face, in order to teach them how to practically apply biblical principles in their daily lives. They will see how the Bible is culturally relevant, even today. Our Wednesday night experiences are tailored to give students opportunities to create lasting relationships with each other, while also discovering what it means to have a deep relationship with Jesus.

Koyae Irving

Pastor Koyae has a heart for the next generation, to help them discover a personal God in a real way and meaningful way. Koyae balances his commitments to the community, as a firefighter, and to his beautiful family by staying centered in God’s word. He's been involved with youth ministry for most of his life, and his passion for reaching even the youngest of hearts to produce lasting change is unparalleled!

  • The Bible is the most amazing book ever written, and we bring biblical stories to life through creative activities, events, and discussions that keep middle and high schoolers engaged. We want every student to love God's Word and understand the value of applying it to their lives. Our goal is for them to have fun each week as they learn about who God is through relevant messages, building community, and Christ centered activities.

  • Safety is one of our highest priorities. Upon students arriving, they are checked in right at the doors. Every Rust City Youth volunteer is screened, participates in a background check, and receives extensive training.

    Additionally, our friends from Niles Police Department are on site throughout the entire experience to make sure no one is wandering in that is not supposed to be there, and to ensure that students leaving are going home with a guardian not wandering off unattended.

  • The short answer is no. Parents are more than welcomed to leave and come back to pick up their students by 8:15P, but if you'd like to just enjoy the peace and quiet of your car in the parking lot we understand that too!

  • We understand that dropping your kids off and just leaving may not be something you're comfortable with for their first time. We offer parents the option of filling out a visitor pass in order to stay during our youth experiences, up to 2 times, so you can get a feel for what Rust City Youth is all about! We also encourage you to reach out to our youth pastor, koyae@rustcity.church, with any questions or concerns you may have!

  • If you have a child with special needs who might need a little extra support to participate in RC Youth, we'd love to partner with you to make their experience amazing! Please send an email to our Youth pastor, koyae@rustcity.church.

  • Most Wednesday nights Rust City Youth is over by 8 pm, and students will be able to be picked up then! No students will ever be left alone to wait for any ride that may be late or running behind! Our Youth volunteers will stay with them until every student's ride/guardian arrives.
