Here at Rust City, serving is one of the main ways that you can stay connected and active to the body of Christ. When you choose to serve, you’re not only playing a part in Rust City’s mission, you’re also taking a step in your spiritual growth. Serving at church can begin to unlock your gifts and uncover your purpose.

EPHESIANS 4:11-16 “Christ gave to the church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work… As each part does it’s own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

CONNECTIONS

  • AUDITORIUM: makes it their mission to provide an excellent, distraction-free environment for guests to experience God, by assisting with seating, stage transitions, distributing resources, and resetting the Auditorium before/after services.

  • HOSPITALITY TEAM: focuses on creating positive connections in the Lobby by greeting and going out of their way to make every person feel welcome and important, helping people identify their next steps by providing resources and information at The Hub, and ensuring the Lobby Zone is ready for guests.

  • PARKING TEAM: makes the first and last impression on our guests so they seek to provide clear direction and a safe and memorable parking experience.

  • PRAYER TEAM: provides prayer covering during services and events, prays for specific needs as people come up during services, and prays throughout the week for prayer requests that we receive.

  • SAFETY TEAM: uses their gifts and additional training to ensure our facilities are secure, our kids are safe, and to protect all individuals if any situation should arise. [Age 18+]

NEXT GEN

  • KIDS TEAM: invests in the lives of children from 5 months through 5th grade by giving them the opportunity to discover and develop a passion for God through Bible teaching, worship, prayer, and games. Serves on rotations during Sunday services with Team Huddles at either 8:45, 10:00, or 11:15AM.

  • YOUTH TEAM: creates opportunities for middle and high school students to find God and get connected through our weekly services, groups, outreach, retreats, and camps. Serves weekly on Wednesdays for Youth services and also scheduled the Youth Booth on Sundays.

CREATIVE

  • MEDIA TEAM: facilitates a powerful worship experience in the booth and on broadcast, through the use of lighting, video technology, and audio engineering. [Age 16+, Training]

  • MUSIC TEAM: facilitates a powerful, on-stage worship experience through utilizing the skills of vocalists and instrumentalists. [Age 16+, Audition, Training]

  • SOCIAL TEAM: serves our online audience by hosting the chat on live streams, posting content on our social channels, and taking photos during services and events.

SPECIAL

  • COFFEE SHOP TEAM: connects with people by serving free drip coffee and creating high-quality custom espresso drinks to provide the best coffee experience for our guests. [Age 18+, Extended Training for Baristas]

  • LEGACY TEAM: helps accelerate the vision of Rust City Church by giving above and beyond the tithe to further the work of God and leave a legacy through the spiritual gift of giving. [Age 18+]

  • Our maintenance team serves monthly by doing projects and repairs to maintain excellence on Rust City’s properties.

  • OUTREACH TEAM: meets the practical and spiritual needs of our local community by leading and supporting the distribution of food, diapers, and prayer at our Midweek Outreach every Wednesday starting at 5PM.

  • OVERSIGHT TEAM: individuals or couples who serve as overseers for Rust City’s bylaws, and approve major decisions and budgets submitted by Pastor. [Age 18+, by invitation from Senior Leadership Team only]

  • RUST CITY CARES CARD TEAM: serves the Rust City family by personally sending cards to people who we find out need encouragement or are going through a difficult time. Perfect for those who are able to serve from home on their own time!
